One Day Training Course
The Central Coast Gang Investigator Association is proud to present the following eight hour training course:
“Confidential Informant Management and Utilization ”
This 8 hour class will teach students how to cultivate, maintain & utilize various sources of information. Class instruction will provide students with expertise in regards to the cultivation, utilization & management of Citizen Informants, Tested Informants, Un-tested Informants, Utilization of Informants during controlled buys, Preparation of basic search warrants resulting from covert informant operations, Overview of In-Camera hearings, Informant contracts, Background checks, Utilization of jail phone calls, Sealing orders, and methods utilized to overcome common pitfalls of informant management.
Whether you are assigned to patrol, burglary investigations, homicide, an auto-theft task force, narcotics, gangs, etc. This course will teach you invaluable skills for your everyday job.

The course curriculum will include the following topics:
- Informant Management
- Court Orders
- Using Informants who are on Probation and Parole
- Use of Informants in different types operations
- Informant Contracts and the DA's office
- Non-Traditional Use of Informants
Course Information: This class is being held on 02-17-2010 and is eight hours long. It will run from 0800-1800 hrs. Each student will receive a certificate of completion and a resource manual

POST Information: This course is POST certified (1073-22500-09-001) and is reimbursable Plan 4

Registration to this course is limited to students who have meet the prerequisites mandated for full-time employment as an official in a law enforcement or administration of justice agency. Verification of current employment in law enforcement is required . There will be no exceptions.
